Virtual Campus Experience

Virtual Campus Experience

Online Learning, the CCA Way.

A closer look at what families can expect through Central Christian Academy’s Virtual School.

What Learning Looks Like at Home

Online learning at CCA offers students consistent academic engagement while giving families the flexibility to create daily routines that work. With structured check-ins and easy-to-use platforms, learning from home becomes organized, supportive, and effective. Let CCA handle curriculum, transcripts and academic support while you focus on your student and their progress.

Central Christian Academy’s virtual model allows students to engage in 4 to 6 hours of schoolwork per day, structured in a way that supports steady progress and academic mastery. Courses are accessed on a flexible schedule, with lessons available around the clock. This lets students work at a pace that fits their family’s rhythm, while staying aligned with their grade-level goals.

Each student connects with a dedicated online learning coach twice weekly via Zoom. These personal check-ins help reinforce accountability, answer questions, and provide support where needed. Parents also meet weekly with the learning coach to remain informed and engaged. This structure combines the flexibility of at-home learning with the support families need, allowing you to leverage strong curriculum and Indiana School Choice funding while partnering with an accredited school.

Day-to-Day Expectations

Every student needs rhythm—and online learning is no exception. At CCA Virtual Academy, our goal is to provide a structured yet flexible routine that helps students stay on pace and grow in confidence. Each school day is designed to balance independent work with meaningful teacher interaction, allowing students to progress steadily toward mastery. Whether you’re in middle school or high school, you’ll have the support and tools needed to thrive in a digital learning environment grounded in faith and academic excellence.

Time Commitment

Students should plan for 4–6 hours of focused learning per day. While online learning offers flexibility, daily engagement is key to academic success.

Pacing + Progress:

Each course is designed for mastery, not just completion. Students are encouraged to work at a steady pace and connect regularly with their teachers to stay on track. Some classes may require more time and focus than others.

Teacher Check-Ins

Twice a week, students will meet one-on-one with a teacher to discuss challenges, celebrate progress, and receive personalized guidance. These check-ins are a vital part of the learning journey.

Academic Help

Liberty University offers daily academic support for its online courses, and CCA supplements that with additional free resources and check-ins. Students and parents are encouraged to seek help early and often.

Communication Channels:

Zoom and email are the primary tools for communication. Active engagement from both students and parents is essential to creating a successful online learning environment.

Sample Schedules

Families may request sample daily schedules for both middle school and high school to help structure their day.

Parent Involvement That’s Clear and Encouraging

CCA’s virtual school supports parental involvement with weekly communication, transparent tools, and coaching partnerships that allow families to stay engaged without becoming overwhelmed.

No matter the learning environment, a strong parent-school partnership is key to student success—online is no exception. While parents aren’t expected to teach, grade, manage transcripts, or choose curriculum, they play a vital role in supporting their child’s progress. A weekly 15-minute Zoom check-in keeps parents informed about strengths, challenges, and academic standing, reinforcing the connection between parent, student, and coach. Think of it as your weekly road map to stay aligned on the learning journey.
With full access to platforms like Canvas and PowerSchool, caregivers can easily view assignments, attendance, grades, and teacher feedback. Our team also provides regular updates through Brightwheel and is available to answer questions at any time.

A Virtual Environment That Feels Personal

Even online, connection is at the heart of learning.

Though students may log in from home, they are never left to figure things out alone. From the start of the year, each student builds a relationship with their learning coach, creating familiarity and trust. These consistent touchpoints help students stay motivated, while giving them someone to turn to for questions, encouragement, and support. Virtual students are also invited to join occasional in-person events, giving them opportunities to meet teachers and peers face-to-face. This hybrid approach supports emotional well-being while helping students feel part of the broader CCA family.
